Luckywire is a peer-to-peer file sharing application that connects users to the GNutella network. It features faster download speed than similar programs like Limewire or Frostwire. Moreover, it is free.
It does seem that download speeds are greater than Limewire's, but when it comes to p2p sharing, this can be somewhat deceitful because the speed depends on the host’s connection too. On the other side, few or no Malware is returned when performing a search, so the program is quite safe to use. It works under Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS. If you are familiar with Limewire or BitTorrent Clients, you will find that the interface of the program is almost the same and so is the way it works. It is easy to search for audio, video and other files there: you simply type what you are looking for and press enter.
It should be noted that you should download and install the latest java run-time application in case it's not present in your system.
Some users claim that Luckywire is no different from Limewire and that both Frostwire and Ares Galaxy provide much better results. In spite of these comments, Luckywire downloads large files at higher speeds than other applications, and gets files which are hard to find. Plus it can filter search results by size, extension, quality and length. Additionally, you can find an integrated chat system; it works similarly to other messengers, and all that a user should do is add an email account.
